Mr. Hardy has extensive science writing experience for both general and professional audiences. He has edited thousands of papers and has presented his own research at summits and conferences such as the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication.

Jesse Niebaum completed his Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology at the Center for Mind and Brain at the University of California, Davis. He also holds an M.A. in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Colorado-Boulder and a B.A. in English literature from the University of Kansas. Jesse has polished more than 1,500 research manuscripts and taught English speaking and writing in Prague, Czech Republic. His research has been funded by the National Science Foundation in the United States, Dutch Research Council in the Netherlands, and National Living Lab in the United States.

Work with us

MJE intermittently hires contract editors. To be eligible, candidates must have 2-3 years experience as a paid professional editor/proofreader. Candidates must also be native English speakers and hold a master’s, MD, or PhD. Nearly all of our hires have 4+ years of experience and have edited 2,000+ manuscripts.
